Fit3D – Coming soon!
Clemson Campus Recreation will soon be offering Fit3D, a body scanning technology, as a part of our fitness assessment offerings. This technology allows you to get a full body scan that documents body measurements, completes a postural analysis, and provides a great way to track body composition changes over time! Pop-Up Events: Each month be on the lookout for our Personal Training Pop-Up events! PT Pop-Ups will occur from 5-7 p.m. at either Fike Recreation Center or the Douthit Hills Fitness Center. The type of Pop-Up event will change each week.
Feb. 3: Free 30-minute Training Sessions at Douthit Hills Fitness Center. This drop in event will allow any Campus Recreation member to try a free 30 minute session with one of our Personal Trainers. Just come in athletic clothing prepared for a great workout! This pop-up is open to students only.
Feb. 13: Free Form Checks at Fike Recreation Center. This opportunity will allow you to have a certified Personal Trainer check and correct your form. Come in athletic clothing and look out for the staff members wearing black shirts with “Personal Trainer” on them.
Feb. 17: Informational Tabling at Fike Recreation Center. Speak in person with a certified personal trainer to learn more about getting your form checked, receiving a fitness orientation, participating in a fitness assessment, working with a personal trainer or joining a small group training program.
Feb. 27: Free Fit3D Fitness Assessments at Fike Recreation Center. This drop in event will allow any Campus Recreation member to receive a free Fit3D body screen. Assessments will occur on a first come, first serve basis.
Small Group Training
This spring we will be holding 3 different Small Group Training programs! Each program meets twice a week for 4 weeks and is limited to 4 participants. Take a look at our offerings and sign up on the small group training page HERE. For specific questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
FUNctional Training meets Mon. & Wed. from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Feb. 3-26: This small group training program focuses on the 7 functional movements: squat. lunge, push, pull, hinge, twist, and gait. These 7 movements make up every exercise in the books, so this program is ideal for anyone that would like to expand their knowledge of fitness OR for anyone that would like to ensure proper form on this vital movements. All levels welcome!
Women on Weights meets Tues. & Thurs. from 3-4 p.m. Feb. 4-27: This women-only small group training is geared towards those that would like to learn about or build upon their knowledge of strength training. This program is geared towards those that have little to no experience with weight training. It includes an orientation to equipment, lifts, and building your own workout. Not only will you gain strength and knowledge, but a supportive group to push you on your fitness journey.
Ready to Run meets Tues. & Thurs. from 3:45-4:45 p.m. Feb. 4-27: This small group training program focuses on building a structured running program. During this program you will build a plan based on your running goals in addition to improving your running form, pace, and endurance. No matter if your goal is to run one mile without walking, or to run a marathon, come work with one of certified personal trainers and be held accountable by the other members of this small group training program.

Feb. 10 all day drop-in: Mantra Monday
Feb. 11 all day: Take a group fitness class to help take care of your body
Feb. 12 from 6-8 p.m.: Radiate Confidence
Feb. 13 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.: 'Gal'entine's Day
Feb. 14 from 1-3 p.m.: Give Yourself a Valentine
Feb. 17 from noon-2 p.m.: Random Acts of Kindness
Feb. 19 from 6-8 p.m.: Social Not Media
Feb. 26 from 6-8 p.m.: Balanced on a Budget
Due to the high demand of F45 memberships, we have suspended membership sales for the spring semester in order to best accommodate our current members. If you are interested in being placed on the waitlist for an F45 membership, please contact email@example.com. We will continue to monitor class size and availability and will notify those on the waitlist about membership opportunities if availability permits.
Feb. 14: Join us as we participate in member appreciation day! We will be hosting a free F45 class at 1:30 p.m. that is open to any current Campus Recreation member. F45 memberships are not required. This class will be filled on a first come-first serve basis, no need to register ahead of time but space is limited so be sure to arrive early!

We have added a new class time to our semester schedule! You can now join us for F45 at 9:30 a.m. Mon.-Fri. We hope to see you there!
Mar. 1: We’re taking F45 outside! On the first Sunday of the month we will host F45 Bootcamp classes outside on the sundeck at Fike Recreation Center.
Mar. 6: F45 Field Day - we will be pairing with the Fitness and Wellness Team for a day filled with fun competition!

Open recreation at the Championship Fields is available around reservations and special events. The Championship Fields open recreation hours vary depending on weather conditions (no precipitation or lightning in the area) as well as sport programs reservations. The Championship Fields are not available for open recreation if the main gate is closed and a Campus Recreation staff member is not present at the field.

We have officially moved to our new home in the Andy Quattlebaum Outdoor Education Center, located at the Snow Family Outdoor Fitness and Wellness Complex. Our rental center hours are as follows for the winter (Feb. 1-29):

Dominica Spring Break Service and Adventure Trip
Mar. 14-21: Join us this year as we travel to Dominica to continue with the rebuilding efforts associated with hurricane Maria in 2017 as well as explore the many adventure activities that make this the "Nature Island" of the Caribbean. Service work will include working on sustainable farm development in the village of Cochrane, sustainable energy projects, and work at the Orion Academy. The adventure activities will include a hike to 200-foot waterfalls in the island's interior, snorkeling tropical reefs and swimming through deep gorges to the hidden falls of Captain Jack Sparrow.
